CleanBarrow's SLURRYTUB is a portable, low cost filtering system to remove cement and concrete slurry from building sites and prevent contamination of waterways and urban environments. It uses patented technology that is Australian owned and made. The solution uses a recyclable polypropylene tub, lined with a disposable, biodegradable filter that separates and collects the sediment for safe, dry disposal while allowing cleared water to either drain or be captured for recycling on the job.
Beckon’s Impact Enterprise Fund No. 1 investment criteria mandates that establishing enterprises must have a clear a path and be within 18 months to profitability. In collaboration with CleanBarrow we developed a roadmap outlining key milestones for business development. Capital was invested into the business incrementally as the organisation met hurdles such as filing patents and achieving a determined monthly recurring revenue.

SLURRYTUB revolutionises onsite construction wet waste clean-up. It is a portable, low cost filtering system to remove cement slurry from building sites and prevent contamination of waterways and urban environments. SLURRYTUB collects toxic and highly alkaline sediments (~12-13pH, similar to household bleach) from cement slurry and waste wash water. The collected sediments can be later disposed with the dry construction waste and the cleared water can be drained in a protected washout area or recycled on the job. The biodegradable filters remove over 99% of total suspended solids and significantly reduces the amount of water required. SLURRYTUB is certified by GECA.
