Lisa Siganto is an impact advisor, impact investor, board director and philanthropist.
Lisa has worked in the impact economy for 20 years, focussed on creating business AND social value for organisations. She is the Executive Chair of ImpaQt Qld, a convening power for impact investing in Queensland. In 2020 she founded the ImpaQt Fund, an early stage venture capital fund connecting impact investors with profit-for-purpose companies creating social and environmental change which is now on hold. She has a growing portfolio of her own impact investments.
Lisa has been an active commercial and Not for Profit board member for 30 years and is now focused on organisations creating significant impact across many industry and social sectors. She is on the boards of Hand Heart Pocket, Qld’s largest Foundation focused on youth and impact investment; Indigenous-led BAMA Services undertaking civil contracting, Karuna palliative care and Griffith University Enterprises enabling innovation.
Lisa has founded, co-founded and led social change organisations including Social Scaffolding consulting, Shorebirds consulting for funding and scaling social impact partnerships, Asylum Circle, White Box Enterprises employment social enterprises and The Stronger Smarter Institute for indigenous education. She has mentored and invested in talented aspiring entrepreneurs who are changing the world. Lisa was the founding QLD Director of Social Ventures Australia, where she was responsible for a hub of more than 60 social enterprises and profit-for-purpose businesses.
Before her switch to the impact world, she was a partner in consulting at Deloitte and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company solving business problems for large corporates. She received foundational training in value-based management, where stakeholder value is maximised, and learned how to improve corporate financial management and funding strategies with Marakon Associates in the USA which she has used ever since. Lisa is skilled in leveraging funding with philanthropy, foundations, government, corporate and impact investors.
Lisa has an MBA from Harvard University and a Civil Engineering Degree (Honours) from the University of Queensland. She is an accredited partnership broker, certified coach and has recently completed a course in Dementia. She is a member of Shebacks.me, Femeconomy.com, Brisbane Angels Investors, Impact Club and is a Coralus investor. She is a director of the Siganto Family Foundation. She has won awards for philanthropy and impact investing. Her work compass is directed at leaving a better world for the generations of her four children and their children.
